Publication Ethics

 

Jurnal Tekstil: Jurnal Keilmuan dan Aplikasi Bidang Tekstil dan Manajemen lndustri is a peer-reviewed open access journal which published original research articles with highest publishing ethical standards. This publication ethics encompass all parties involved in the publication process, including publisher, authors, editors, and peer-reviewers. The publication ethics uphold the following values ​​in publication, namely:

  1. Neutrality: free from conflicts of interest in managing publications.
  2. Fairness: give authorship rights to those entitled as authors/writers.
  3. Honesty: free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism in publications.

 

Duties of Publisher 

  1. Determine the journal name, focus and scope, periodicity, and accreditation application
  2. Respect confidential matters between Authors, Editors, and Reviewers.
  3. Apply norms and provisions regarding copyright and intellectual property rights
  4. Conduct journal policy reviews for Authors, Editorial Board, and Reviewers.
  5. Create guidelines for editors and reviewers.
  6. Publish journals regularly.
  7. Ensure the availability of funding sources for the journal publication.
  8. Prepare permits and other legal aspects.

 

Duties of Editors

  1. Maintain the readers’ trust by striving to continuously improve the quality of publications.
  2. Implement series of process to ensure the quality of published writings,
  3. Prioritizing freedom of opinion objectively.
  4. Deliver corrections, clarifications, and apologies when necessary.
  5. Responsible for the style and format of writing scientific papers
  6. Conduct periodic internal evaluations of the quality of scientific journals.
  7. Avoid objective decisions and be open-minded to new opinions or views of others that may conflict with personal opinions
  8. Encourage Authors to improve their writings until they are worthy of publication.
  9. Maintain confidentiality of any information about all aspects of a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the author, reviewers, and the publisher

 

Duties of Authors

  1. Ensure that those included in the list of authors are those who have made significant contributions to the reported study. All significant contributors must be listed a
  2. Responsible for the work and content of the article including methods, analysis, calculations, and details.
  3. Explain the limitations of the research.
  4. Respond to comments made by the peer-reviewers and the Editorial Board in a professional, scientific and timely manner.
  5. Inform the editor in writing if they will withdraw their writing.
  6. Ensure that their work is original and has not been previously published or submitted for publication elsewhere. Any use of the work or ideas of others must be appropriately cited or quoted.

 

Duties of Reviewers

  1. Review research manuscripts and submit the review results of the review to the Editor, as basis determining the suitability of a manuscript publication.
  2. Reviewers do not conduct a scientific review of written works that involve him/her, either directly or indirectly.
  3. Provide suggestions, input and positive recommendations for the assigned manuscripts.
  4. Maintain the privacy of the author by not disseminating the results of corrections, suggestions and recommendations for a manuscript.
  5. Encourage the Author to make improvements to the written work.
  6. Perform manuscript review in a timely manner based on scientific principles (data collection methods, author legality, conclusions, etc.) that have been set.
  7. Reviews must be conducted with objectivity and a commitment to fairness. Reviewers are expected to refrain from personal remarks directed at the author and instead articulate their evaluations clearly, supported by well-reasoned arguments. Constructive feedback is strongly encouraged, as it serves to assist authors in refining their manuscripts and contributes meaningfully to the advancement of scholarly research within the field.
